San Francisco's Land Use and Environmental Review Process
On Saturday morning about 25 residents of Potrero Hill gathered at the Potrero Hill Neighborhood House for a presentation by neighborhood resident Joe Boss and land use attorney Steve Vettel on San Francisco’s land use and environmental review process.
The presenters provided an overview of the steps involved in the city’s permitting process, land use and zoning issues and a detailed description of the (EIR) environmental review process. They presented information on the various applications and documents that must be filed and processed for large developments and the opportunities for public comment and input throughout the city’s 18+ month review process, with particular attention to the Potrero Terrace and Annex master plan.
