Design Team Kick-Off/Likes & Dislikes
The second meeting provided an opportunity for Residents of Potrero Terrace and Annex to work towards generating a set of principals and goals reflecting their values – arrived at by talking extensively in small groups about what they like and dislike about their home as it exists today.
Through the course of this lively conversation, Residents generated an extensive list of qualities and elements that they like about their home – as well as an extensive list of what they don’t like. These “likes and dislikes” touched on many aspects: attributes of the site (climate, views, closeness to services); facilities that meet their family’s needs, and those that are missing or unsuccessful; and programs and services that do and don’t work.
The Residents came together at the end of the session and developed a set of principles to guide the work of the BRIDGE team.
