EIR Public Scoping Session
The Planning Department held a public scoping session to offer community members an opportunity to let the department know what issues they think should be addressed in the EIR. In addition to comments provided at this event, 30 neighborhood residents wrote letters expressing their views on the proposed project. These comments will be considered in preparation of the draft EIR expected to be published by late 2011. Responses are provided below to the primary issues expressed in the letters and comments.
The primary land use approval required for the project is a Conditional Use for a Planned Unit Development (PUD). It is anticipated that the application for this approval will be submitted in Fall 2011 after a mandatory pre-application meeting is held in the community.
